2023 Opel Corsa Powertrain
The new Opel Corsa will also premiere the new 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine, which has three cylinders and is already manufactured at the Stellantis plant in TrĂ©mery, France. This block will now replace its timing belt with a chain, as announced in France, resulting in increased reliability. It will also be paired with Punch Powertrain’s new 7-speed dual-clutch e-DCT gearbox, which was created for its microhybrid versions (MHEV) with 48V technology. As a result, it will take the position of Aisin’s EAT8.While the 1.5-liter diesel engine with 100 CV is expected to be phased out of the lineup, Opel will conduct a thorough examination of the Corsa-e model. This 100 percent electric utility will use a new propellant produced by the Japanese company Nidec, as well as a redesigned lithium-ion battery to increase autonomy. With this Corsa-e, Peugeot will also reveal that the e-208 will be manufactured in Figueruelas.
